The Technology Futures report shines a light on the innovative, emerging technologies that could shape the communications industry in the future, and TRANSNET director Professor Polina Bayvel is one of 11 world-leading experts to have contributed an accompanying video.
Published earlier this month by Ofcom, the UK’s independent communications regulator, the Technology Futures report summarises the emerging technologies that could shape the communications industry in the future.
Ofcom consulted with over 70 world-leading experts from academia and industry before producing the report, inviting anyone with insights and evidence on new technologies to share their views on what the next game-changing technologies could be. Based on the responses, the published report focuses on the following technology sectors and services: mobile and wireless; fixed and optical; broadcasting and media; satellites and space; and immersive communication.
The Technology Futures report is accompanied by video contributions from 11 world-leading experts on emerging communications technologies, including TRANSNET’s Professor Polina Bayvel.
