ECOC 2023: Preview of TRANSNET Contributions

The European Conference on Optical Communication (ECOC) is Europe's leading conference on Optical Communications, and one of the most prestigious and long-standing events in the field worldwide.
The annual conference will take place in the historic and vibrant city of Glasgow, from 01 October to 05 October 2023, where countless prolific names in science and engineering bearing a connection to Scotland including electromagnetics and optics pioneer James Clerk Maxwell and David Brewster. The five-day event will showcase the latest cutting-edge developments in optical communication, as well as an exciting social programme that will allow delegates to network and share ideas while also experiencing the best of Scottish culture.
This year, our Director Professor Bayvel CBE FREng FRS will be delivering a plenary talk in the memory of Professor John E Midwinter, a pioneer of optical fibre communications who also happens to be one of the founders of ECOC.
To find out how the rest of our team will be contributing to this historic event, please see the programme below.
